Meenakshi Potli bag by Muldooney’s Paris
The “Made-in-France” bags are inspired by the incredible story of the warrior goddess Meenakshi, from the ancient city of Madurai in Tamil Nadu, India. Ultra-luxury handbags come with dual ownership – in hand and on NFT. The unique hologram keys integrated into each bag will allow the buyer to connect in real time with the Atelier Parisien during the manufacture of his bag.
Muldooneys ultra-luxury handbags and leather goods are making a comeback after a decade-long hiatus. The “Made-in-France” bags are inspired by the incredible story of the warrior goddess Meenakshi, from the ancient city of Madurai in Tamil Nadu, India. The design of each series is inspired by history and legend. The story of the product is inspired by Meenakshi, the warrior goddess of the ancient land of Madurai in Tamil Nadu, southern India, and is a cosmic love story destined.
Muldooneys Paris launches June 2022, with all the sophisticated hallmarks of elegance, rarity, intelligence and futurism of its founder-designer, Marlene P. Naicker, who launched the brand in 2005.
The front panels of the Meenakshi potli bags are decorated with a total of two hundred hand-embroidered flowers and nearly four thousand Swarovski crystal gemstones, and the precious sun and moon elements were made using of the age-old “jewellery technique”: lost wax casting, which is traditionally used for the manufacture of precision jewellery.
For the first time in the world of luxury fashion, a unique hologram key is integrated into the physical bag, which can only be activated when paired with its NFT digital twin created for the 600 limited edition models. Thus, the consumer will remain connected with his Parisian workshop in real time while the bags are made to order.
The shape of the bag is inspired by traditional Indian “potli bags” and will have color variations. The color inspiration of hot pink, paparadscha, ruby and fuchsia is taken from the many jewels the Nayaka dynasty would have had in their treasury and the vibrant flowers of Madurai (carnations, marigolds, jasmine and roses).
Naicker, who has blended traditional forms of French craftsmanship with the beauty of blockchain, the power of smart pockets and the novelty of NFTs, believes in pushing the boundaries of innovation to create a transformed biosphere of resplendent fashion and design.
Muldooneys is committed to donating a portion of Muldooneys trademark royalties towards the restoration and preservation of the grand cosmic center of ancient arts and culture at Meenakshi Amman Temple and Thirumalai Nayaka Mahal.
“The ever-changing world of luxury consumers demands that we weave a bond of safety, truth, rarity and elegance.” At Muldooneys, we raise the bar and break down age-old conventions. “Our customer is at the heart and soul of our forward-thinking supply chain, and we responsibly provide them with private, real-time access to every step of the French-crafted design they buy,” says Marlene P. Naicker.
Marlene Pathmavathie Naicker founded Muldooneys in 2005.
